



Sri Lanka, a Window to Larger Markets of India & EU for Agri Products & Processed food – Sri Lankan Agripreneurs
A programme to promote Sri Lankan Agri products and Processed Food in the Indian market was launched in Mumbai a week ago to implement President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s Export Economic Policy.
Accordingly, a webinar on “India - Sri Lanka Current Business Environment and Opportunities for Joint Collaborations for Agri and Processed Food Sector”, organized by the Sri Lanka Consulate in Mumbai in collaboration with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce [CCC] and IMC Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IMC), Mumbai was held on 29th September 2020. This was the first online forum targeting to promote & diversify Sri Lanka’s Agri products and Processed Food to the Indian market.

The 72nd Anniversary of Independence of Sri Lanka was celebrated in a special event organized by the Sri Lanka Consulate General office in Mumbai on 26th February 2020 at the prestigious Tata Theatre of the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai.
Christmas Celebrations in Mumbai
The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai held its Annual Christmas Celebrations on 20th December 2019 at the Mission Premises. The event was attended by a large gathering of Sri Lankans representing Sri Lanka Navy, Army, Air force Officials and trainees in Maharashtra State, Sri Lankan Students in Pune and the Senior State Officials.
A visit by the SME Exporters of Sri Lanka to Mumbai for “Production Process Improvement & Market Penetration” Programme
The Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai in collaboration with the Export Development Board (EDB), Sri Lanka organized a “Production Process Improvement and Market Penetration Programme” for SME exporters of Sri Lanka in Mumbai recently. The objective of this programme was to nurture and promote new entrepreneurs for the International market by learning the experience of SME sector in India.
